How Does OCD Treatment Work with Orchestrate Health?

Therapy

We offer a range of different therapies, including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to help you understand the root cause of your OCD, alter disruptive or harmful thinking patterns and compulsive behaviours, and create healthy coping strategies. Your therapist will help you engage with your fears without unhelpful coping strategies and work through your thoughts and fears gradually.

You’ll have access to a dedicated therapist who you’ll build a deeply trusting relationship with as you explore your condition and move towards your recovery journey. You’ll gain greater understanding of your inner workings, and will be able to identify when you might be slipping into unhelpful patterns .

Medications

Some people with OCD benefit from medication alongside therapeutic treatment. The main type of medication used are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) – these help increase the levels of serotonin in your brain.

These medicines can take some time to begin working. During this period we’ll check on your progress to make sure that your treatment is as effective as possible, and can adjust our prescribing accordingly.

Live-in Support

In extreme cases, OCD can make everyday tasks seem impossible. To help you get back to the life you deserve, we can arrange in-home support such as:

Live in Mental Health Nursing (RMN/CPN) – 12/8/ hour shift availability
Visiting Mental Health Nurse (RMN/CPN) – 2/4/6 hour visits
